Heavy Chest shares new music from Ascend, recorded entirely in the French Alps with Turbulence.
Born in the French Alps in the late 70s, Turbulence began as one of the very first concept stores, created by Nathalie and Daniel Munier as a place where art, design, and curiosity lived side by side. Reborn in 2023 under the vision of Geoffroy Munier and Anthony Fiore, it has become a creative hub and generational crossroads—a space where projects unfold with artists, designers, and passionate minds.
Last winter, New Zealand artist Heavy Chest spent a full month in residence at Turbulence’s Creative R&D department in Méribel. Immersed in alpine silence and solitude, he recorded his new album Ascend—a body of work shaped by mountains, stillness, and creative intensity.
With the album set for release in October, Heavy Chest now brings these songs to life at Hotel Corazón, as part of Turbulence’s UFO Sighting program—an encounter between music, landscape, and the spirit of experimentation.
